Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho coy over January transfer plans

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho remains coy on rumours linking Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho refused to elaborate when asked about the club's transfer plans for the January window.

Last week, the Portuguese coach claimed that he did not need to spend money on new players.

However, that has not stopped speculation from rumbling, with Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane the latest players being linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.

"We are in November and we're all focused on doing our job the best we can," Mourinho told reporters. "We are not speaking about players, buying, spending.

"We are concentrating on what we can do now. We can try until the end of December with the maximum amount of points. We will try to be in a position where we can smell the top part of the league."

When asked about the Vardy and Kane rumours, Mourinho said: "These are stories that start since September 1 when the market closes and will get more and more and more from January 1. I know which players are possible and which are impossible."

Mourinho's side will face Kane's Spurs this Sunday.
