James Rodriguez unsure of Real Madrid future amid talk of exit

James Rodriguez gives his strongest hint yet that he will likely move on from Real Madrid next month, having been made the subject of offers from unnamed clubs.

Real Madrid ace James Rodriguez has admitted that he "cannot assure" he will remain at the club beyond next month after receiving offers to leave.

The Colombia international has been used sparingly in La Liga this term and has scored just once in 14 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos.

Despite suggesting earlier this week that he was "happy" at the Bernabeu, Rodriguez appears to have now backtracked on those comments after being overlooked for inclusion in Madrid's Club World Cup final victory, confessing that he must make a decision over his future in the next week.

"I can't assure I will stay at Real Madrid. I have offers and seven days left to think about my future," he is quoted as saying by FourFourTwo.

"I am happy in Madrid, but I want to play more. I have a bitter feeling as I wanted to play the final, but I am happy for the title. It's my 15th title in my career."

Chelsea are understood to have joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Rodriguez, who is valued at around £75m by Madrid despite his lack of playing time.
