Thibaut Courtois has said that he is planning talks with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho regarding his future at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old, who is midway through his third season on loan with Spanish side Atletico Madrid, said that he will not accept playing second fiddle to Petr Cech once he returns to West London.
"My agent is currently talking with Chelsea," he told Belgian magazine Knack.
"One of these weeks, I'll have a chat with Jose Mourinho. When we meet hasn't been decided yet. January is a busy month for me and also for Chelsea.
"I will never say I'm a better goalkeeper than Petr Cech, but I'm not a player anymore that you can put on the bench, I think. I will take that in mind when I take a decision. I can say what I think, but in the end the boss makes the decision."
Courtois joined the Blues from Genk in 2011.
