Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly decided to let striker Fernando Torres leave the club in order to bring in Atletico Madrid frontman Radamel Falcao.
The Russian businessman is believed to be eager to capture the Colombian, who is thought to have attracted interest from a host of clubs around Europe, and the 26-year-old has 10 goals to his name so far in Spain.
It is understood that Abramovich has accepted that his risky £50m move for Torres from Liverpool last year has not paid off and reports have claimed that the Spaniard could return to his home club in La Liga as part of an exchange deal for Falcao, according to the Daily Mail.
Torres has netted four goals in the Premier League so far this season.
