Chelsea to continue pursuit of Romelu Lukaku?

Chelsea will reportedly continue their pursuit of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, despite seeing a £57m bid rejected for the Belgian international.

Chelsea have reportedly been rebuffed in their latest attempts to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

In 2014, the Blues allowed Lukaku to sign for the Toffees for £28m but his form at Goodison Park has resulted in the West Londoners wanting to re-sign the 23-year-old.

It has been claimed that a bid of £57m has been rejected by the Merseyside outfit but according to The Mirror, Chelsea will continue their pursuit of the forward with Diego Costa likely to miss the start of the season through injury.

Everton have insisted that they will not sell Lukaku for less than £75m but Chelsea are confident of securing his signature before the end of the transfer window.

In his previous spell at Stamford Bridge, Lukaku failed to score in four starts and 11 substitute appearances.
