Chelsea have reportedly told Cesar Azpilicueta that he is free to take his time when it comes to making a decision on his future.
The Spain international's contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire at the end of June, and Barcelona are believed to have offered the defender a two-deal with the option of a third.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Azpilicueta is being given time to make a decision, with Chelsea not pushing him to make a call on his next move.
Romano claims that the Blues understand that it is a 'personal decision' for the versatile defender, who is allegedly keen to return to Spain to finish his career.
The 32-year-old has again been a vital player for Thomas Tuchel's side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 30 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists in the process.
Azpilicueta started his professional career with Osasuna, making 108 appearances for the Spanish outfit before leaving to join Marseille in 2010.
