Chelsea contract policy to force Willian out of Stamford Bridge?

Willian is reportedly after a new four-year contract but Chelsea are only willing to add an extra 12 months to his existing deal, which expires at the end of next season.

Chelsea forward Willian's future at Stamford Bridge is reportedly in doubt as the Premier League side will not change their policy regarding players over the age of 30.

The Blues have held talks with the Brazil international over extending his deal beyond the end of next season when it is currently due to expire.

However, the Evening Standard suggests that Chelsea are only willing to offer the former Shakhtar Donetsk ace another 12 months on top, as is the case for all players the wrong side of 30.

That is what ultimately led to Cesc Fabregas's exit to Monaco in January, and the same report indicates that Willian - who is after a four-year contract - will also leave Stamford Bridge if his demands are not met.

Willian has garnered interest from Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona over the past six months but has constantly maintained that he is happy in West London.
