Chelsea reportedly tell Everton that it will take a bid of at least £35m to sign Valencia loanee Michy Batshuayi on deadline day.

Chelsea have reportedly told Everton that it will take a £35m bid to sign Michy Batshuayi before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.

Batshuayi is currently on a season-long loan at Valencia, but the Spanish outfit reportedly want to cut that deal short having been unimpressed with the Belgian's performances at the Mestalla.

West Ham United have been linked with a loan bid for Batshuayi, but the player himself is understood to want a permanent switch to Everton.

The Toffees are unable to sign him on loan having already taken Kurt Zouma from Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis this season, and the Evening Standard reports that Chelsea are holding out for a £35m fee.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille for £33.2m in 2016, but he has spent the past year out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Valencia.

Any deal would need to advance quickly on deadline day, however, with Batshuayi still in Spain on Thursday morning.
