Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly in advanced discussions over a swap deal for Saul Niguez and Antoine Griezmann.
The speculation surrounding Griezmann's future has gathered pace in recent days, as Barcelona are under pressure to reduce their wage budget due to their financial problems.
Saul, meanwhile, continues to be linked with a move away from Wanda Metropolitano, with the Spaniard losing his regular spot under Diego Simeone last season.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the two La Liga giants are now in 'advanced talks' over a swap for Griezmann and Saul, with both players keen on switching clubs.
Romano claims that the two sides are currently negotiating a final price, as Barcelona are keen for Atletico to include money as well as Saul in the deal.
Liverpool and Chelsea are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation in the event that a switch to Camp Nou breaks down for the 26-year-old.
Griezmann previously turned out for Atletico between 2014 and 2019, scoring 133 goals and registering 50 assists in 257 appearances for the capital giants.
