Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly remains confident that the club can complete a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland.
The Champions League holders are keen to recruit a new striker this summer and have identified the 20-year-old as their primary target.
According to the Daily Express, Chelsea are the favourites to land Haaland, with Abramovich willing to stretch the club's budget and spend big on the striker to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
The report also states that Tammy Abraham could be used in a potential player-plus-cash deal, as the Englishman has now fallen out of favour under head coach Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea are hoping that their transfer business can be done quickly and they would like to complete the signing of Haaland before their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on August 14.
Haaland had an exceptional 2020-21 campaign in front of goal for Dortmund, scoring 41 goals and providing 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
