England international Gary Cahill has replaced David Luiz in the heart of the Chelsea defence for tonight's Premier League encounter against Reading at Stamford Bridge.

Luiz revealed earlier today that he would not be featuring against the Royals because of a knee problem.

Elsewhere, Ramires has recovered from an illness to take his place in the side, while Eden Hazard will make his first appearance at Stamford Bridge.

Pavel Pogrebnyak will play as a lone striker for visiting Reading, who have the fit-again Jem Karacan back in the starting lineup.

Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Cole; Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Hazard, Mata; Torres

Reading: Federici; Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Harte; McAnuff, Leigertwood, Guthrie, Karacan, McLeary; Pogrebnyak
