Ex-Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins: 'Jose Mourinho going nowhere'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will be given the rest of the 2015-16 campaign to turn around the Blues' stuttering campaign, according to Ray Wilkins.

Former Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins has suggested that under-fire Jose Mourinho will not be sacked by the Blues until at least next summer.

The Portuguese's position at Stamford Bridge is under intense scrutiny as the Premier League champions sit 16th in the table, having lost seven of their first 12 games.

Nevertheless, Wilkins, who was assistant to ex-Chelsea bosses Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlo Ancelotti, is certain that the 52-year-old will be given time.

"Jose Mourinho will complete the season at Chelsea with no problem whatsoever," he told BT Sport. "Mourinho, for me, is far and away the best guy for the job."

Chelsea host Norwich City at Stamford Bridge next Saturday following the international break.
