Willian feels that Chelsea are still in a position to challenge for silverware this season, despite the club going through a transitional period.

Willian has claimed that Chelsea can 'win some titles' during the current campaign, despite the recent changes at Stamford Bridge.

Having replaced Maurizio Sarri in the dugout, Frank Lampard has had to deal with a transfer ban - something which has resulted in an onus being placed on developing the club's younger players.

Willian feels, however, that the change in personnel should not hinder the Blues going forward, saying that the academy graduates will improve over the course of the season.

The Brazilian told Sky Sports News: "I think Chelsea can win some titles this season. I know it will be hard this season to win titles, as usual, it is always hard.

"It is difficult when you lose players like David Luiz, Eden Hazard, but we have some quality young players here who can improve a lot and in the future become one of the best players in the league. I think we have a great team.

"But Chelsea is a big club and this shirt is heavy. When Chelsea go into a competition we go to win."

The West Londoners have recorded just five points from their opening four Premier League fixtures.
