Full-back Patrick van Aanholt is keen to impress Chelsea's new manager during pre-season training.

Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt has expressed his desire to make an impression on the club's new manager this summer.

The Dutch full-back has made just two senior appearances for the Blues, having spent five loan spells away from Stamford Bridge since 2009.

He has now returned from his latest loan stint at Vitesse Arnhem and the 22-year-old is now hoping that he can catch the eye of whoever takes charge of the team over the coming weeks.

"I move on with a good feeling," Van Aanholt told NuSport. "I have had a good season and just have to wait and see. A new coach, new chances.

"I have to be there on July 1 and then we have to wait. It depends whether the new coach believes in my qualities. If that doesn't work out, I will go out on loan again."

Aanholt made 35 appearances for Vitesse.
