Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino honoured by England job link

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino reveals his honour at being linked with the England job, suggesting that he would consider the position if an offer is made.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is honoured at being linked with the possibility of becoming England manager.

The Argentinean, who has helped 10 players make their Three Lions debut since his first job in the country at Southampton, has hinted that he would consider the position if an offer did arrive.

"It is very difficult for me to answer, but you never know what will happen in the future," Pochettino is reported as saying by the Daily Star.

"If someone had asked me three or four years ago whether I would work in England, I would have said: 'Of course not, because I don't speak English.'

"It would be an honour to be asked. But I am happy to keep on working at Tottenham on the project we have here and I am still very young."

Spurs take on Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
