Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is charged by the Football Association for appearing to kick Swansea City ball boy Charlie Morgan.

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has been charged by the Football Association for his involvement in Wednesday's altercation with a Swansea City ball boy.

The Belgium international has been at the centre of this week's headlines after he appeared to kick the youngster, who laid on top of the ball when it drifted out of play during the Blues' League Cup semi-final exit.

England's football governing body has issued Hazard with a charge of violent conduct and also added in a statement: "The FA will remind all clubs of their responsibilities in ensuring ball boys and other personnel around the pitch act in an appropriate manner at all times and will liaise with competitions accordingly."

A number of managers within the game have condemned the actions of Morgan, one of which includes Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, who labeled the teen's behaviour as "disgusting".
