Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink suggests that the appointment of interim manager Rafael Benitez may not have been the best move by the Blues.

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has suggested that Rafael Benitez may not be the right man to take the Blues forward.

The ex-Liverpool boss was chosen as the Champions League winners' interim manager following the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo. While Hasselbaink is unsure over whether it was the best move for Chelsea, the 40-year-old believes that Benitez is relishing the challenge.

"It is obviously good for him because he is at one of the biggest clubs in the world," Hasselbaink told BBC Radio Five Live. "A lot of managers would want to manage Chelsea.

"In a way it is a great opportunity for Benitez. For the club at the moment it is in a difficult situation. Every club goes through a difficult spell, it is the way they come out of it."

Chelsea, who face Nordsjaelland in the Champions League this evening, have yet to win a game under Benitez.
