Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed that the Barcelona supporters played a big role in his decision to leave the Catalan outfit in the summer of 2014.
Having spent eight years at Arsenal, the Spanish international returned to Barcelona in 2011, making close to 100 league appearances for the Catalan club during his second spell.
The 28-year-old was subject to taunts from his own supporters in the latter stages of his career at Camp Nou, however, and he has admitted that played a key role in his decision to seek pastures new.
"I treated the people of Barcelona well. But at the end I realised that the majority of Barcelona fans didn't like me anymore, and so I had to make a step aside," Fabregas told Marca.
Fabregas is currently on Spain duty ahead of their international friendly against Belgium on Tuesday.
