Michael Essien has insisted that he is happy to play in any position when he returns to Chelsea next season.
The 30-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at Real Madrid where he was deployed both in defence and midfield by manager Jose Mourinho.
"Where I play doesn't matter just put me on the pitch and I will do the business for the club," Essien told Goal.com. "I don't have much to prove. I have done it all, so I just go out there, work hard and win games."
Essien was signed by Mourinho from Lyon in 2005 for around £25m.
