Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte says that his side dropped points "in a stupid way" earlier this season.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has admitted that he is disappointed to have dropped points "in a stupid way" earlier in the campaign.

The Blues are the form team in the division over the past six matches, but the club remain underdogs to secure a place in next season's Champions League.

Conte has acknowledged that there is some regret, but would prefer to focus on trying to win their remaining matches against Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United.

At a press conference, the 48-year-old told reporters: "For sure there is a bit of disappointment because we dropped many points in a stupid way where we didn't need to and created many chances but weren't able to score.

"At the end the result was bad for us. Now there is not time to regret. We have to play two games and then the FA Cup final and then at the end of the season we will see."

Chelsea must hope that Liverpool fail to beat Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the season or that Tottenham Hotspur lose one of their fixtures against Newcastle United and Leicester City.
