Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas describes his side's 4-2 defeat to former club Chelsea as an emotional occasion.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has described his side's 4-2 defeat to Chelsea as an emotional occasion.

The 35-year-old, who was sacked by the Blues in March, watched on as Spurs came back from a goal down early in the second half, only to throw away a 2-1 lead at White Hart Lane.

Afterwards, he told Sky Sports News: "It was a game full of emotion and there were lots of chances for both teams.

"We became very strong in the second half and turned things around but individual brilliance and the creativeness of Chelsea unlocked the defence and settled the game.

"We have been on a good run but now we have to bounce back. When you have players of this commitment, desire and ambition you have to bounce back from adversity. There are 30 more games ahead of us."

Prior to today, Chelsea had not won at Tottenham in five attempts.
