Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Kai Havertz is currently in contention for Sunday's Premier League fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
On Thursday, it emerged that four Chelsea players had tested positive for coronavirus ahead of their fixture with Everton, while Havertz was left out after feeling unwell.
At a press conference on Friday, Tuchel said that the Germany international continues to test negative, but acknowledged that the situation could change ahead of the trip to Molineux.
Speaking to reporters, Tuchel said: "We wait for the results tomorrow. We were, maybe not too careful, but we left Kai out because he felt unwell and we thought there maybe a high possibility that he could be positive. We did the PCR, which was not even needed for the match because he was negative on a lateral flow test.
"We took that risk and consideration because health is first. Kai is still negative so he was with us in training but you can never be sure. Tomorrow could be different, and we have to go from there."
Ben Chilwell, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku have already been ruled out for the visit to the West Midlands.
