Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is likely to return to action by December.
The Belgium international was predicted to be on the sidelines for a "long time" after damaging his knee in training.
The 23-year-old, who has been replaced by second-string keeper Asmir Begovic, underwent surgery earlier this month, and has since stepped up his recovery.
In this afternoon's press conference, Mourinho confirmed that Courtois should be back between the sticks just in time for the hectic festive schedule in December.
In the meantime, the Portuguese coach added that he might sign former AC Milan keeper Marco Amelia to provide "stability".
