Rafael Benitez refuses to confirm whether Frank Lampard will start for Chelsea in the Europa League final against Benfica on Wednesday.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has refused to guarantee whether Frank Lampard will start in the Europa League final.

The Blues face Benfica in Wednesday's final but Lampard may have to be content with a place on the bench, despite scoring twice in Saturday's win over Aston Villa.

Benitez could be without Eden Hazard and John Terry, but he insists that he has to pick the best team on the day.

"The main thing is to pick the right team," Benitez said. "Frank has been a good professional when he has been playing and even when not playing, helping the team. When he finishes games the physical data is good."

Chelsea's win against Aston Villa all but secured their place in next season's Champions League.
