Gary Cahill has admitted that he has "extra motivation" ahead of Chelsea's second leg Champions League tie against Napoli.

Cameras picked up the 26-year-old mouthing "so bad, so bad" during the 3-1 first-leg defeat in Naples three weeks ago and Cahill is now looking to put things right.

He told The Daily Star: "That was just a reaction. Whenever a goal goes in, I just shout something. Defensively, on the night, I thought we were poor and I was a big part of that.

"Conceding goals is not a nice feeling and I felt on the night everything went wrong that could have gone wrong.

"I've definitely got a bit of extra motivation to turn things round against Napoli."

Chelsea have kept three clean sheets in their last four games and another is vital if they are to progress on Wednesday evening.
