Charlton Athletic have confirmed the appointment of Bob Peeters as their new head coach.
The 40-year-old emerged as the frontrunner to succeed Jose Riga at The Valley last week and now he has been confirmed as the Addicks' new boss.
Riga was only in charge of Charlton for two months and despite helping the club out of the bottom three and up to 18th by the end of the season, he would only be a short-term solution after the dismissal of Chris Powell.
Peeters, who had a two-year spell in South London as a player for nearby Millwall between 2003 and 2005, leaves his job with Belgian top-flight side Waasland-Beveren to join Charlton.
