Charlton Athletic boss Bob Peeters frustrated by late Blackpool equaliser

Charlton Athletic boss Bob Peeters criticises his players for failing to hold onto their lead against bottom-of-the-table Blackpool after their 2-2 Championship draw.

Charlton Athletic manager Bob Peeters has expressed his frustration at conceding a late equaliser in his side's 2-2 draw with Blackpool in the Championship.

The Addicks boss was critical of his players for allowing their lead to slip against the division's bottom club at The Valley, and admitted that they must improve to challenge for a place in the top six.

"It's very frustrating but that's football. It's a draw again and another time we've given away the lead," PA Sport quotes Peeters as saying.

"We played well after the [scoreline was at] 1-1 and the players could have done a bit better pushing for the 3-1. At the moment we don't need to look at the top six, we need to get a win and we'll see where we are in January.

"We have a lot of difficulties winning. If you can't win games then you need to be humble and work hard and not look too much at the top six."

The result leaves Charlton in 10th place in the league on 30 points from 21 games.
