Bob Peeters accepts Charlton Athletic defeat

Charlton boss Bob Peeters admits that his side deserved their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday - their first Championship loss under his management.

Charlton Athletic boss Bob Peeters has admitted that he has no complaints with his side's defeat to Bournemouth in the Championship.

The Addicks saw their unbeaten start to the season ended on Saturday as they went down 1-0 at Dean Court.

Peeters was not sour after losing a first league match as Charlton boss, admitting that Bournemouth were deserving of their victory.

"Bournemouth did very well, they played very high and we did not have a solution for their attacking threat. I think we looked much better in the second half but overall we were not at our best and they deserved the win," he told BBC Sport.

Charlton are back in action on Tuesday when they host Bolton Wanderers in the league.
