Eduardo Berizzo: 'Important to remain focused'

Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo hints that it is important for his team not to get carried away with their impressive start to the new season.

Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo has called for calm following his team's impressive start to the new La Liga season.

Celta have beaten both Barcelona and Sevilla in what has been a strong start to the campaign and currently sit third in the table having won four and drawn three of their seven fixtures this season.

The team faced criticism following a 0-0 draw against Getafe on Friday, but Berizzo has said that it is important to remember what their objectives were at the start of the season.

"Sometimes we all become more ambitious than we need to be. We've started the season very well on both a points and footballing level," Berizzo told reporters.

Celta have the same amount of points as both Real Madrid and Barcelona and just one fewer than current league leaders Villarreal.
