Malky Mackay has paid tribute to his Cardiff City players following their Carling Cup final loss to Liverpool on penalties earlier today.
The Bluebirds took the lead at Wembley, before scoring a late goal to take the match to penalties, where they lost out 3-2.
Reflecting on the match, Mackay said: "We wanted to come here and win today but we have done the club proud today.
"I think you have got two teams who have put everything into that game. You have to lose with dignity and that's what we did today.
"There is a lot of emotion out there because it is a young side and emotions are running high but I am so proud of them all."
Cardiff are currently sixth in the Championship table.
