Peter Crouch in line for China move?

Veteran striker Peter Crouch is reportedly torn between staying at Burnley or making a lucrative move to China.

Veteran striker Peter Crouch has reportedly received a lucrative offer to move to the Chinese Super League.

The 38-year-old's extensive career has included stints with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City, Portsmouth and Aston Villa, with 205 goals coming in 735 club appearances to date.

Earlier this year Crouch moved to Burnley on a short-term deal which saw him make six appearances before being offered a new contract to stay with the Clarets for the upcoming season.

According to The Mirror, Crouch has also been offered a big-money deal from an unnamed Chinese club but has yet to make a decision on his future.

"I've spoken to him a couple of times, but it's up to him to decide what he wants to do," Burnley manager Sean Dyche told reporters on Thursday morning. "He's just had another child and he has a lot of media as well.

"I spoke to him last week, and told him to let me know his thoughts, but beyond this week, we would have to know his decision one way or another.

"We enjoyed having him with us, and he did well in the time he had. He's kept himself fit, and he would be welcome back."

In recent seasons Crouch has also been forging a media career and currently presents a popular weekly podcast for the BBC.
