Burnley manager Sean Dyche reveals that he is pleased with his players following their 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers in Saturday's Championship opener.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has praised his side following their 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers in Saturday's Championship opener at Turf Moor.

Danny Ings gave the home side the lead on 26 minutes before Darren Pratley netted an equaliser soon after, as the local rivals shared the points.

"I'm very pleased," Dyche told Sky Sports News. "We felt it was important to follow on from our good pre-season form. We had done very well, looked fit and full of energy."

The Clarets return to action on Tuesday when they travel to York City in the first round of the League Cup.
