West Ham United have signed Nicky Maynard from Bristol City for a fee close to £2m.
The 25-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Upton Park after completing a medical on Tuesday.
"I enjoyed my time at Bristol City but the opportunity to move to a massive club like West Ham, who are destined for the Premier League, was too good to turn down," said Maynard.
The striker has been linked with a number of clubs in January, including Leicester City, Wigan Athletic and Swansea City.
Maynard has scored 46 goals for the Robins.
