Brighton & Hove Albion sign Christian Walton

Brighton sign Plymouth goalkeeper Christian Walton on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed goalkeeper Christian Walton from Plymouth Argyle.

The 17-year-old will join the Seagulls on a three-and-a-half-year deal at the end of the season.

"It's a great opportunity for me," Walton told Brighton's official website. "I just want to knuckle down, work hard and hopefully one day I will break into the first-team squad."

Walton has left Plymouth for an undisclosed fee, but the League Two club are expected to receive a sell-on payment as well as money based on appearances.
