Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari admits that it will be a lot "harder" for his side to win the World Cup next year.

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has said that he is pleased with his side's Confederations Cup success, but admits that it will be "harder" for his team to win the World Cup next year.

The Selecao beat Spain 3-0 in the final of the tournament on Sunday, thanks to a brace from Fred and a strike from Neymar.

"We did not predict this. It was a path that we needed to take, but we knew that this match was not even close to what we have to play through next year," Scolari said in his post-match press conference.

"It's going to be harder. But our path will be a little bit better to walk. [The win] is going to create a better situation and better environment.

"Also the support that we take from the crowd inside and outside the pitch is excellent. We need to always get this from the country. That way we can evolve and grow with good work."

The victory is Scolari's first trophy success in his second spell as Brazil boss.
