League One Roundup: Leaders Bristol City drop points in 1-1 draw with Walsall

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from League One, where Bristol City remain top despite drawing 1-1 with Walsall.

Runaway league leaders Bristol City had to share the points with Walsall after Romaine Sawyers rescued a 1-1 draw for the home side.

The Robins had gone ahead through Joe Bryan's goal on 11 minutes, but Sawyers levelled in dramatic fashion after exchanging passes with Anthony Forde and curling a 20-yard effort beyond Frank Fielding.

Peterborough United failed to capitalise, however, only managing a 2-2 draw with Oldham Athletic at London Road, and slipping to third thanks to Swindon Town's 2-1 win over Leyton Orient.

Goals either side of half time from Michael Bostwick and Marcus Maddison had cancelled out Jonathan Forte's opener for the Latics, but the away side grabbed a share of the points through Genseric Kusunga's 66th-minute strike.

Swindon's win, meanwhile, came courtesy of Michael Smith's seventh goal of the season and Nathan Byrne's second in as many games.

Bottom side Crewe Alexandra conceded two late goals to give Bradford City the win at Valley Parade, while Chesterfield beat Sheffield United 3-2 in the day's early kickoff.

At Deepdale, Preston North End recovered from being 1-0 down to beat Colchester United 4-2 thanks to goals from Scott Wiseman, Alan Browne, Paul Gallagher and Chris Humphrey.

William Grigg and Daniel Powell struck for MK Dons in their 2-0 win over Yeovil Town, while Scunthorpe United and Port Vale both lost to remain in the relegation zone.

Notts County moved closer to the playoff places with a 1-0 over Gillingham thanks to Shaun Harrad's goal, while Coventry City drew 2-2 with Crawley Town and Barnsley beat Rochdale 1-0 thanks to a goal from new signing Peter Ramage.
