League One Roundup: Sheffield United complete dramatic comeback at Colchester

Sports Mole rounds Tuesday's League One action as Sheffield United complete a dramatic turnaround after going two goals down at Colchester United.

Sheffield United turned around a two-goal deficit within five minutes to beat Colchester United 3-2 in League One on Tuesday evening.

George Moncur's first-half goal was followed by Freddie Sears's 77th-minute strike, but the Blades pulled two back through Ben Davies and Ryan Flynn on 83 and 85 minutes. The dramatic winner came after a Davies penalty just two minutes before the final whistle to complete the comeback.

Gillingham were also awarded a late penalty at home against Peterborough United to earn all three points, after Jon Taylor initially cancelled out Cody McDonald's opener. McDonald then ensured the win after converting an 86th-minute penalty for the home side.

There was also late drama in the match between Swindon Town and Oldham Athletic, as two late goals from either side saw the match end in a 2-2 draw. Jonathan Obika cancelled out James Dayton's 23rd-minute opener before Amari Morgan-Smith scored in the 84th minute to rescue a point for Oldham.

Goals from Aaron McLean and Billy Clarke were too much for MK Dons to turn around, despite Dean Lewington's 41st-minute goal as Bradford City earned all three points.

Zeli Ismail's first-half penalty for Notts County was not enough to win the match at Meadow Lane as Chris Dagnall's spot kick earned Russell Slade's side a point.

Bristol City remain at the top of League One after a convincing 3-0 victory at Port Vale. Aaron Wilbraham's two goals either side of Aden Flint's strike proved too much for Vale.

There was a six-goal thriller at Deepdale as two late goals from Chesterfield rescued a point thanks to an Eoin Doyle hat-trick. Alan Browne, Joe Garner and Josh Brownhill all netted for the home side in the first half.

Rochdale hammered Walsall 4-0 at home with goals from Matt Done, Ashley Eastham, Ian Henderson and Andy Butler's own goal.

Frank Nouble's opening goal for Coventry City on 17 minutes was overturned by Paddy Madden and Lyle Taylor strikes to secure Scunthorpe United three points.

There were two second-half goals in the tie at Yeovil Town as Crewe Alexandra's Billy Waters opened the scoring, only for Kieffer Moore to equalise on the 72nd minute.
