Edin Dzeko cancels out Robbie Brady opener to deny Republic of Ireland

The hosts dominated the first half, with Ervin Zukanovic twice missing the target, while Vedad Ibisevic connected with an Edin Visca cross to fire into the side-netting.

Ireland failed to create an opportunity in the first half, but improved after the break as Wes Hoolahan tested Bosnia keeper Asmir Begovic with a tame effort.

The second half was blighted by dense fog, but Republic of Ireland keeper Darren Randolph was undeterred by any visibility issues on the hour mark, when the West Ham United man denied Lazio winger Senad Lulic.

The visitors took the lead on 82 minutes through Hull City winger Brady, who cut inside from the right before placing an effort beyond the reach of Begovic.

Dzeko pegged Ireland back immediately, as Ognjen Vranjes found the Roma striker in a good position to fire past Randolph from close range.
