Robert Lewandowski praises strength in depth

Robert Lewandowski says that Borussia Dortmund have a "better" squad than last season.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski believes that Borussia Dortmund have a stronger squad than last season.

The Champions League finalists lost the services of Mario Gotze this summer, but they have added the likes of Henrikh Mikhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang thus far.

"As far as the squad is concerned they are a great improvement. I think we are better than last season," he told Bild.

Dortmund began their Bundesliga campaign with a 4-0 win over Augsburg last week.
