Steve Kean happy with current form

Steve Kean admits that he was always confident Blackburn Rovers could turn their season around.

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has revealed that he is staying modest despite his side's recent run of form.

Kean has come in for fierce criticism from the club's fans this season as the team struggled on the pitch.

However, the manager claims that he has always been confident the side could turn their fortunes around.

The 44-year-old said: "I always said I would never give up.

"I always hoped the fans would go home happy and that everyone would be singing, that everybody would be cheering, and that's the way it's been of late.

"With confidence and the consistency, if we can get that into the team and we're starting to feel it in abundance, we can start to look up the table."

Rovers are currently 16th in the Premier League.
