Blackburn boss Steve Kean hails Yakubu after the striker scored all four goals in Rovers' 4-2 win against Swansea.

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has hailed Yakubu after the striker's four-goal haul helped secure his side a 4-2 win over Swansea City.

The three points have lifted the Lancashire club off the bottom of the Premier League table.

"I think the performance was excellent. I'm a big admirer of the way Swansea play but we felt we had to keep them in front of us and we did that," said Kean.

"Yakubu can score any type of goal. He's performed fantastically well, but a striker is only as good as his service and that was excellent."

Rovers, who have moved up to 18th in the table, are now one point from safety.
