Alan Curbishley and Phil Brown are both understood to be in the running to become the next manager of Birmingham City.

The Championship club are looking for a new boss following Chris Hughton's departure to Norwich City earlier this month.

Curbishley, who has been out of work since stepping down at West Ham United in 2008, is now thought to be among the favourites to take over, according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Brown could soon find himself back in work after leaving Preston North End in December 2011.

Lee Clark and Gary Megson are just two of the other names who have been linked with the Blues.
