Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery expects to sign a new contract with the German champions in the near future.

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has revealed that he expects to sign a new contract with the club soon.

The French international's current terms with the German champions are due to expire in summer 2015.

"We have discussed it all and saying 'yes' means 'yes' to me," Ribery is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We would not really need a player [to sign on].

"But I know we have to sign and this will happen as soon as possible, although there is no use to feeling like being in a rush."

Ribery joined Bayern in 2007 following a two-year spell with Marseille.
