Augsburg's Andreas Ottl confident of Bayern Munich upset

Andreas Ottl says that Augsburg can cause an upset against Bayern Munich at home in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Augsburg midfielder Andreas Ottl believes that his side can defeat Bayern Munich in the Bavarian derby at home on Saturday.

Bayern are currently nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, while their hosts are second from bottom.

"We can see it every weekend that the underdog can bring down the favourite," TZ quotes him as saying. "If Bayern do not reach 100% and we are on top, we have a chance.

"If we can make Bayern tumble, we will be happy, we need every point. Maybe they will underestimate us a little bit.

"It's impressive how they perform this year. But they need to bring consistency after this brilliant first half of the season. I don't see them collapsing but they will become Bundesliga champions."

Ottl made 92 league appearances for Bayern's first team before leaving them for Hertha Berlin in 2011.
