Barnsley have ended Daniel Rose's loan at Bury early so that he can return and possibly help the Tykes in the final two games of the season as they look to avoid relegation.
Rose scored three goals in six substitute appearances for Bury and will now hope to replicate that goalscoring form in the Championship.
With just two games of the season left, Barnsley's survival chances look slim as they are four points adrfit of safety.
Earlier this year Rose, 20, signed a new contract until the summer of 2016 with Barnsley.
