Daniel Stendel has reportedly emerged as a potential managerial appointment at Barnsley.
Immediately after being relegated from the Championship, Barnsley opted to part company with Jose Morais but a month on from the decision, the Tykes remain without a head coach.
A number of domestic names have been linked - including Grant McCann and Gareth Ainsworth - but according to The Star, Stendel is being considered for the position.
The 44-year-old is relatively unproven in the dugout, with his only senior role coming at Hannover between April 2015 and March 2016.
Before that appointment, Stendel - a former striker - had been coach of the club's Under-19 side.
