A 94th-minute equaliser from Alfreton Town's Bradley Wood denied Barnet a crucial win at the top of the table this afternoon and almost confirmed that AFC Telford United will return to the Conference North.
An early Curtis Weston goal had looked to have earned Barnet a three-point advantage before Wood struck in the final minute to earn a dramatic point for his side which strengthens their bid to avoid relegation.
However, that strike has almost certainty sent AFC Telford down, with the Bucks facing a 15-point deficit with five to play after losing 1-0 at Dover Athletic.
Bristol Rovers had earlier missed out on the chance to put the pressure on Barnet after they could only draw 0-0 at Macclesfield Town, a result that leaves the top three in the standings separated by one point.
Grimsby Town ensured that they remained part of the leading trio with a comfortable win at Welling United, while Forest Green Rovers are fourth after beating Lincoln City by a 2-1 scoreline.
Woking and Eastleigh both remained in the hunt for a playoff place after they secured 3-2 triumphs away at Chester FC and Gateshead respectively.
At the other end of the standings, Dartford and Nuneaton Town did their hopes of survival no good after both suffered home defeats. Two goals from Damian Reeves earned Altrincham a 2-1 win at Dartford, while Nuneaton lost out by the same scoreline to Halifax Town.
Southport opened up a nine-point gap above the drop zone after they edged out 10-man Torquay United, while Braintree Town should also be safe, despite losing 3-1 at Kidderminster Harriers, who had Daniel Wright to thank for two of their goals.
