Report: Coutinho considering Barcelona exit

Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho will reportedly consider leaving Camp Nou in the summer after struggling to make an impact during his season-and-a-half at the club.

Philippe Coutinho has reportedly conceded that his future may lie away from Barcelona and he will consider quitting the club this summer.

The Brazilian playmaker only made a big-money switch from Liverpool to Barca last January, swapping clubs in a £142m transfer that makes him the world's third-most expensive player.

Having struggled for regular starts over the past 14 months, however, Coutinho has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Camp Nou, possibly back to the Premier League.

Spanish outlet Sport claims that the 26-year-old is seriously considering his future ahead of the summer transfer window, and he has already confided in his teammates that it is possible he will not remain in Catalonia beyond the end of this season.

Barca are willing to take a hit on Coutinho, possibly using the ex-Inter Milan ace as a makeweight to sign another player better suited to them.
