Barcelona confirm Neymar signing
Barcelona have confirmed they have completed the signing of Santos striker Neymar on a five-year deal.

Barcelona have confirmed they have completed the signing of Santos striker Neymar.

The 21-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Spanish champions and will stay with them until the 2017-18 season when he pens the deal on Monday, after they beat rivals Real Madrid to his signature.

The club said on Twitter: "Barcelona have reached an agreement with Santos for Neymar. The Brazilian player will join Barcelona for the next five seasons."

The fee for the forward is said to be in the region of £23.9m and he will join the already impressive array of attacking players manager Tito Vilanova has at his disposal.

Neymar said on his Instagram: "I won't be able to hold this until Monday. My family and friends already know my decision. On Monday, I sign with Barcelona.

"I want to thank the Santos fans for these incredible nine years. My feeling for club and fans will never change. It's eternal!"

Neymar has scored 12 times this season for Santos in just 18 appearances. In his career he has played 32 times for Brazil and has scored 20 goals.
