Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner has suggested that the Spanish champions will be looking to swap rather than buy players during this summer's transfer window.
The financial implications of the coronavirus outbreak mean that big-money deals are not expected to take place ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Barca have been strongly linked with a move for Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez in recent months, although it is thought that the club are attempting to agree a swap deal with the Italian outfit.
Cardoner has claimed that player trades "will be part of the game" this summer as clubs attempt to come to terms with the financial issues caused by the worldwide pandemic.
"It will be part of the game. This is the way things will happen for next season in European clubs," Cardoner told ESPN.
Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar has also been linked with a return to Camp Nou, although it is understood that deal is now off the table due to the cost.
